Legal, provenance & privacy
A good-faith summary of how Design Style Book sources its images, how to request a removal, and how the site handles data and advertising. This is not legal advice.
Image provenance
Every image stores its source, license, and attribution, rendered beside the image where the license requires it. Images fall into two tracks:
Public-domain, open-license & owned art
These images have been researched and are believed to be in the public domain or used under an open license (for example, Creative Commons licenses from Wikimedia Commons), with attribution provided as required. Mistakes are possible; if you believe an image is misattributed or wrongly included, the notice-and-takedown path below applies.
Licensed stock
Where used, stock images are used under a paid commercial license with vendor indemnification. No public-domain claim is made for these images, and they appear only as examples within articles — never offered as standalone or downloadable content.
AI-generated images, where present, are labelled as illustrations, not photographs, so they are never mistaken for real buildings.
Notice & takedown
If you hold copyright or trademark in any image and believe it has been used in error, email jrv@shopjrv.com with the page URL and details. We will review and remove the material promptly where appropriate.
Educational purpose
Design Style Book is intended for educational and reference use. This framing does not by itself make any particular use “fair use”; the sourcing discipline above is followed regardless.
Privacy policy
Design Style Book is a content site. We do not require an account to browse and we do not sell personal information.
Advertising & cookies
This site may display ads served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits.
